Note for: William Thomas Biddle Eubanks, 7 MAR 1812 - 22 MAY 1863

Individual Note: William Thomas Biddle Eubanks moved his family from AL to Leake Co.
MS, Barnes Community, in 1856. They were living there when he was killed by his slaves. I was told that when a group of his slaves came to him with a hunting trap, and asked him to help them set the trap. When he leaned over to set the trap, he was struck in the head with an instrument so hard, that it killed him. He was left setting in his chair for his family to find.
Nancy Owen was a Baptist, and she was one of the twelve founding members of the Rocky Point Baptist Church in the Barnes Community. The Rocky Point Cemetery is located just across the road from the church. The
Church is a beautiful structure of red brick, nestled among tall old oak trees. I fell sure the first or original structure was probably wood, but the present day church is quite large and in a beautiful setting.
The Dates of the Births and some deaths of the Children of William Thomas Biddle Eubanks and Nancy Owen are all listed in a Bible that belonged to William Thomas Biddle Eubanks. The Bible is in the possession of Mildred Eubanks Hornsby, daughter of Arthur Eubanks, youngest son of James Giles and Mary Ann Douglas Eubanks.
Marriage of William Thomas Biddle and Nancy Owen Eubanks recorded in Eubanks Family Bible.

her children?

Note:
The information on the last name of Susannah as being "Burn" was located on records in LDS Files. I am not so sure this is correct, as it has been suggested also that her name was Biddle.
Record of her death is in the Eubanks Family Bible.
