JOHN TINSLEY WAS AMEMBER OF THE ANTRIM PARISH CHURCH, HALIFAX CO., VA.
HIS WILL IS DATED NOV. 19, 1761 AND PROBATED MAY 20, 1762, HALIFAX CO. EXECUTORS WERE DRURY ALLEN, RICHARD JONES AND RICHARD GRAVES.
LIVED IN ST. ANN'S AND ANTRIM PARISHES, HALIFAX CO.

The marriage contract (pre-nuptial):
The articles of agreement made and comprised between Cornelius Cargill of Lunenburg County and Parish of Cumberland and Hannah Blanks of the County and Parish aforesaid-- notwithstanding the contract of marriage as may hereafter appear between the said Cornelius Cargill and Hannah Blanks confirmed by ye virtue of this agreement before marriage contract and agree that all the estate of the said Cornelius Cargill he is to have at any time free liberty of disposing of his estate as he sees proper without any interruption from the said Hannah Blanks or any blame as a Right of dower & likewise the said Hannah Blanks to have the Liberty of Disposing of all the Estate that is now property of her own by the consent of the said Cornelius Cargill at any time & in any form as she shall see cause. 28 day of March, 1753.
Additionally, Cornelius was bound in the sum of 500 pounds to Richard Blanks, that Cornelius would make no use of the lands and or properties of Hannah Blanks, Richard being her son.
Hannah's will was presented for probate 4/1758. She left Cornelius, "her loving husband", all her sheep and cattle.
